English Club STBALIA Yogyakarta held a program called Tourist Hunt at Taman Sari on Saturday, 28 November 2015. This program was attended by the students of STBA LIA Yogyakarta and nine guests. These guests consisted of International students or foreign visitors currently residing in Yogyakarta. The program was held from 9am to 1pm. It comprised of group conversation and treasure hunt. During the group conversation, the students and the guests got a chance to know each other better by asking questions about casual topics such as hobbies, favourite food, etc. Afterwards, they had to explore the historical sites in Taman Sari and solve clues in the treasure hunt. The members of English Club received feedback from the students and foreign guests. The students had fun while practising their English speaking skills and they got new friends. In addition, the tourists really enjoyed the event and wished to be invited to future event similar to this. Hopefully English Club can hold this event again in the future and keep improving it. The English Club members are glad for the opportunity to hold such an event that provide an opportunity to maintain international relations, practice our English, while appreciating our local culture.
